Okay this almost scored full points for me...almost! Ten for taste, value, personal choice but sadly only a nine for number of uses, why? Because it was soooo good it was gone in one day :( The bottle definitely needs to be bigger.
I am in love with Sid's Sauce products. They are my new favorite. Recently we have had to venture into the world of gluten free, and so to be able to use these amazing products full of flavour and know they are gluten free is awesome. And the price is brilliant. So many products we have tried have needed to be used fairly quickly and lack in flavour so my daughter does not like them. She loved this and love having a wee bit in a bowl beside her dinner plate to use as a dipping sauce for her meat balls :)
I am a big fan of simplicity when it comes to packaging. I like things that say what they are but also allow you to see what they are and the bottles for Sid's Sauce are exactly that. Simple labels to know what you are buying, and clear bottles allowing you to see the sauces. Simple yet classy. And they are easy to open and pour from with no mess or fuss.
My entire family (three children, two adults and my brother who was visiting at the time) adored this Honey Mustard vinegarette. The sweet taste of honey combined with the bitter taste of mustard and vinegar was truly divine. Fantastic with my salad and wonderful as a dipping sauce, it even went well on a cold lamb meat sandwhich. But due to the large amount of people loving its flavour it truly actually was gone in one day lol :(
This blew my mind, I absolutely adored this! Drizzled over a lettuce and carrot salad, it was heaven in a bowl. Or Pita as the case may be. I added some home-made croutons coated in Sids Crazy Lemon sprinkle and it was divine! I seriously could not have asked for a better complement to a BBQ dinner.
On it's own, this is an amazing dressing, full of flavour and easily dispensed... although I did find the nozzle on the bottle let it drip a little slower than my ideal if I just held the bottle over the salad, and let big globs of the dressing fall free if I shook it... a delicate balance had to be practised. Thankfully, I adore the flavour so I was more than happy with a salad drenched in this. Key note - add croutons AFTER adding dressing, otherwise they very quickly lose their crunch - true of all liquid dressings and not a factor particular to this one.
After a bit of experimenting, I also found this dressing was an excellent ingredient in a mixed salad dressing. I mixed a hefty dose of this with some garlic aioli and a few good grinds of fresh black pepper... adjust ratios to suit.
Overall, Scrumptious! Other than that, to be honest, I admit to being stumped what other uses this could be put to... it may be a bit of a one-trick pony, but it can pull off that trick flawlessly!
