Two Night Stand product reviews

A no-strings-attached, one night hook-up turns into a morning after disaster for twenty-something New Yorkers Megan (Analeigh Tipton) and Alec (Miles Teller).

When a paralyzing blizzard hits the city, trapping them in Alec's cramped Brooklyn apartment, they are forced to get to know each other far beyond the confines of a typical one-night stand.

Two Night Stand is a romantic comedy with a bit of a difference - definitely not your typical love story but a love story none the less. A light hearted movie which had my husband and I happily having a few laughs and enjoying ourselves on a Saturday evening in.

Set in New York city the movie sets the scene with hopelessly single Megan who's flatmates are trying to set her up when she instead decides to meet up with Alec who she's "met" online. Megan is convinced she is only going to have a one night stand but after failing to creep out the next morning thanks to a burglar alarm going off things start to take a different turn. Megan and Alec have a small fight before she goes to leave - suddenly things escalate to a whole other level when the pair realises she is stuck there for good thanks to a massive blizzard outside trapping her in.

What unfolds is a pair of strangers discovering themselves and who they are as well as who each other are. A bit of burglary (to get food) and science experiments (watch the movie to see what) along the way mean the pair are really starting to hit things off. Unexpectedly this movie then takes a turn as Megan discovers Alec already has a girlfriend... at least that's what Megan is lead to believe... A few more twists and turns to keep you on your toes before Megan and Alec finally end up together.

The main characters are played by Analeigh Tipton and Miles Teller who do a fantastic job throughout this movie and fit the characters of Megan and Alec perfectly. This movie kept us entertained and held our attention throughout. While it wasn't what I would term a hilarious comedy it was still a funny movie and funny enough it can definitely be deemed a comedy. A movie I am glad to have seen, will watch again and totally recommend to others! Smile Icon
