Harry Potter: 7: The Deathly Hallows Part 1 product reviews

Voldemort's power is growing stronger. He now has control over the Ministry of Magic and Hogwarts. Harry, Ron, and Hermione decide to finish Dumbledore's work and find the rest of the Horcruxes to defeat the Dark Lord. But little hope remains for the Trio, and the rest of the Wizarding World, so everything they do must go as planned.

The last book in the Harry Potter saga has been split into two parts which is a good thing as there is so much to wrap up.

Part one is a very full two and half hours. The drama begins with the trick of using polyjuice potion to create multiple Harry's followed by the escape of Harry in Hagrid's motor side car and the air fight that follows. The trio's penetration of the Ministry of Magic to get the locket horcrux is very exciting and tension-filled. While the movie does slow down a bit in the middle, it works well as we explore more of the personal relationships between Harry, Ron and Hermione. Watch out for a most unexpected dance scene which will surely make you smile, if not actually chuckle!

Later we learn what the "deathly hallows" are as our trio learns it from Xenophilius Lovegood, I like how this part was done, great story telling whilst keeping it done a little differently to the rest of the movie, makes it stand out a bit better. With the special features on the disc is an animated short feature called "The Tale of Three Brothers" narrated by Hermione, well worth a watch. Daniel Radcliffe, Rupert Grint and Emma Watson have all grown up in front of our eyes and done nothing but improve.

With a great cliff hanger you will be hanging out to watch the last movie.
