We are massive fans of the Klutz collection of book/activity sets, so were very happy to be given the chance to review another great Klutz pack via KIWIreviews.
Upon arrival, I knew my children would be ripping into the book straight away, and I was right. Master 12 immediately claimed the Klutz thumb doodles, and after reading the easy to understand instructions and setting up his art corner he set right to work. Ten minutes later he came out to show me what he had achieved.
I had to look twice as to be perfectly honest, his little finger print people looked exactly like the examples shown in the book by the authors. I was so impressed. Further more, the set is said to be suited for ages 8 and up, but even Miss 6 was able to create amazing finger print people, and sat for almost an hour enjoying this set.
The set comes with the book, with easy to follow instructions, and plenty of pages for creating. It starts you off by giving room to practice before you actually put anything together. It also comes with our different colour ink pads, and I was impressed by the fact that when the kids did their prints in the book, the ink dried quickly and did not smudge. There is also a pen and a pencil in the set, to allow the artist to add faces and limbs, and whatever else their heart desires to their newly created fingerprint images.
All in all a fun, easy to use and understand kit, that all my children, and myself have and still enjoy playing with. We have not yet found a Klutz product that has been disappointing, and this is no exception. We very highly recommend this one to anyone who loves craft, star wars or something fun. Definitely a great gift idea too.
