When I told a mate about this, he was overjoyed. It seems he and his mates played a variant of this game when he was in school, just using bits of paper. He had a look at this version and declared it a more challenging, tidier, and more durable, successor to that of his fond memories.

The first thing that popped into my head while playing this with my eldest son was "This is brilliant for home-schooled kids!" Drawing on and reinforcing logical thinking and numeracy skills, this is every parents dream - a way to get the kids' minds working on problem solving and maths, and making it so fun they don't realise their brain is rewiring itself into a more intelligent pattern. Thumbs Up

The character artwork is very age-appropriate, and I liked how the artwork matched the theme of the question. You will see the same image on all the cards that ask "Is it between X and Y", a different character appears on all the "Is it larger than X" cards, etc. This made it easier for my son - who is a very visually-cued thinker - to click as to "class" of question it was, and enabled him to think of the answer faster.

Overall, though it's a simple game, it has a number of ways it can be played. The kids will undoubtedly invent their own variations on scoring and play style, and I know an adult who saw it while visiting, and emailed me the next day to admit he's thought of a way to turn it into a drinking game as well. LOL Icon Some people just crack me up! But no matter how you play it, it's a wonderful game and the kids will adore it!

I Love This Game!! Miss Five is rather fun to play with as she is still getting to grips with greater than and less than and not telling you the number!

An absolutely brilliant game to help your child get to grips with numbers and basic mathematical foundation principals. You lay the 50 cards out . One person writes the chosen number on a piece of paper (good for referring to if they forget...) then the other game players ask questions. On the back of each numbered card will be questions. Ie "is it an odd number?" "Is it in the range of 21 - 27?" or "Is the number greater than 11?".

Miss Four enjoyed participating as well even though a lot of the principles are above her. It does take a little longer to set up but is great fun and we have been setting it out on the bench whilst I am in the kitchen so I can multi task a bit as well with this one. A very simple easy to understand game Smile Icon

I would say that this is a must if you need something fun to get your child interested in numbers and grasping basic mathematical principles. Absolutely top marks from me and Miss Five.
