My first reaction to this book was 'WOW love the 3D Lenticular cover' - it made the book stand out to me and say "hey look at me." Upon opening it I found the contents page to be full of colour, easy to read and contained everything I needed to navigate this book.
Once I got into the book I also found it was full of fun and odd facts and quite a bit of random stuff too (which I love). The pages are full of bright and vibrant colours; they also have nice big writing so it was easy to read.
I especially love the little face that pops up throughout the book with Mind Boggler facts, and have learned a few new things I didnâ ™t know. I also loved how they added articles from the Ripleyâ ™s archive throughout this book.
It contains a great index at the back of the book to help you find a fun fact etc. I found this very helpful when showing this book to my mum and husband.
My favourite thing in the book would have to be the section on Small World, with the mini-meals and the bite-sized burger and lets not forget the tiny ted.
Overall this is a great book - I really enjoyed reading it and have gone back many a time to look at things again and show friends and family some of the amazing stuff that this book contains. I would recommend this book to anyone - even my 7 year old daughter found this book amazing.
Okay, come on admit it, most people enjoy reading about the weird the bizarre and the unimaginable, I will admit it I am one of them, in fact I have been ever since I read my first Ripley's Believe It or Not! book (but just don't ask me how long ago that was okay), and ever since then whenever i've been able to get my hands on one of their books I just jump at the chance.
As well as all the wonderful and amazing information that is in these books, there is one thing that I find even more amazing, and that is that there is still stuff out there that they are either continuing to find, or has already been recorded by the Ripley's museum, but hasn't been printed yet. The fact that in all the books I have read I don't think I remember every seeing anything repeated at all is the most amazing thing to me.
As with all other Ripley's books this one is divided up into 6 sections with each one dealing with a different area of the weird.
There are many wonderful entries in this book and I can guarantee, you like me will be hard pressed to find one favourite one once you have read them all.
