It has taken a long time for me to find a U3 compatible USB drive. Every time I go to a computer shop to enquire about one, I am confronted by blank looks - the type that the computer guys give you when they think you are talking nonsense.
So, to find one at long last is a real treat. I first looked up U3 over a year ago - maybe two; and the concept is very simple. Synchonise your settings and carry all your documents with you. Clearly in that time, the drives have more capacity and I guess the U3 software has improved in that time too (though I have no comparisons to make through never having seen the early software).
The software is intuitive and easy to use; even if you have no idea how to use it, there is a very helpful tutorial to help the new user become acquainted with its use. The choice of some of the software seemed a little odd to me - I would have thought a browser and email client would have been more useful than the games - but having said that, click a "download programs" menu and you will find plenty of software both free and paid.
Download and install is simplicity in itself - and it really is click and go in some cases.
The Drive itself is simply stunning. The liquid metal shell is sturdy - far more sturdy than many cheap brands made from plastic. The retractable USB connector is smooth and easy to operate; as long as you remember to depress the slide mechanism slightly - otherwise you will never move the retractable USB connector without breaking your nails: Something I almost did!
It's sturdy design just oozes quality; and at the price it is cheap enough for for most people to afford (I have seen other budget brands at higher prices for less than half the memory capacity) - this gives it a perfect 10 on all counts for me.
This drive has a super-fast read-write time when compared with my older and cheaper drives - it even appears to be faster when connected to an older, slower USB 1 connection.
The Cruzer Titanium has everything I need in a drive, everything I could want in a drive and plenty more to choose when looking at the U3 site. I can truly say I will never be without this drive - working at three different computers, it is indispensible.
