Ten Tiny Toes is one of those lovely toddler books that the children want you to read again and again. The first time I read this book I sat down on the couch with three of my home-based carekids (a couple of 2.5 year old girls and an 18 month only boy. The youngest sat on my lap and the older two sat either side of me. As I read the book I pointed out the body parts of the wee man's body. He really loved it especially when I tickled his belly. The girls joined in by pointing to the body parts on themselves or on me. There was just such a lovely warm feeling as we read this.

This book is great for teaching parts of the body and actions. It is well made with strong wipe-able pages rather than than this board that so many toddler books are made with that don't stand up to chewing. I think $12 is a bargain price and would be great as a stocking filler, gift alone or as part of a hamper. It is sure to be well received by both baby and parents.

The pictures are of a big bold toddler doing the actions and his teddy bear trying to copy them. I think next time one of the kids brings this book to me to read we will do it with our teddies so that they can join in too. There is a plain background so it doesn't detract from the characters. Both Caroline Jayne Church (the author/illustrator) and the publishers have really though about toddlers when they made this book. It is so lovely yet so practical too.

This is one pretty cute hard cover book for the little ones. The pages are wipeable if baby gets something on them, like spilling milk etc.. The pages have nice big pictures that relate to the words that you can teach your child as your looking at the pictures, they can identify it on their own body or your body first.

My 4 year old likes this book he says its funny, my 5 year old likes it cause its got simple words to match the pictures that she can read, and saves me reading it to her. The babies I look after like this book cause its a "bubba" in the book and we all know babies like seeing other babies.

I would say the book has shown a great job of not over crowding the pages and just keeping things simple. For $12 its a pretty good rereadable book and it would be a great gift for little ones. Its a nice size for a young child to hold or have on the floor in front of them before they are interested in listening to stories, the pictures will keep them entertained. It does have other books in the series which would be awesome to get aswell
