My Grandma recently bought this for my son from Paper Plus. She spotted it and couldn't resist getting the cute little bear that read stories. My son was very thankful and certainly loves this bear and his accompanying book. The book that comes with it is called Cooper's Big Bear hug, but we also bought Cooper's bedtime separately.

As you read the book Cooper the bear has certain little phrases he says when you hit on a key word. If you say Cooper I love you, he will respond I love you too. The only downside is you have to read in a very clear precise voice or it doesn't recognize your keyword and if you have to repeat a few times I find it loses the rhythm of the story.

I thought it was quite a good price for what it is as it is something he will be able to treasure for a few years. The teddy is real good quality and the batteries are replaceable for when they are run out. You are able to buy other books to go with it too so you can add to the collection. The separate books are also reasonably priced.

Product reviews for listing 5082: Jack Russell: Dog Detective Books 1 - 3  -  Author: Darrel and Sally Odgers

Product image for Jack Russell: Dog Detective Books 1 - 3 Dogs understand what humans say.
Humans think they understand what dogs say.
Therefore, dogs are smarter than humans.
That is a fact.

Jack Russell lives with his landlord, Sarge, in Doggeroo. Sarge detects human-type crimes. Jack detects important crimes. That means the ones that deal with dogs. Whenever there's a mystery that needs solving, Jack is the dog for the job. Though he is often hampered by the well-meaning but bumbling Red, he always manages to sniff out the truth in the end.
