Steve Carell plays Andy, a socially awkward man who upon reaching the age of 40 has yet to have sex with anyone. When his co-workers find out this fact they do everything that they can to push him into it and help him loose his virginity. He ends up meeting Trish, a single mum, and ends up falling in love.
This has the usual trademark humour that you would expect from Steve Carell, so if you're not a fan of lots of rude and crude jokes then don't bother with this movie, seriously, as it is full of it, how can it not be when his co-workers act more like teenagers than adults.
It does have it's moments where it is funny, and there is a little bit of heart-warming stuff near the end, but overall it is a pretty rude humour movie. Carell does do a good job as the bumbling Andy. This isn't a great movie but it's decent enough for passing the time.

"Can You Ever Forgive Me?" is based on the true story of Lee Israel (Melissa McCarthy), the best-selling celebrity biographer - and cat lover - who made her living in the 1970s and 80s profiling the likes of Katharine Hepburn, Tallulah Bankhead, Estee Lauder, and Dorothy Kilgallen.
When Lee finds herself unable to get published because she has fallen out of step with the marketplace, she turns her art form to deception, abetted by her loyal friend Jack Hock (Richard E. Grant).
