This was a bit of a blast from the past!! I remember watching the likes of Fireman Sam and Postman Pat when I was a kid back in the 80's. I didn't really remember what Fireman Sam was like must be getting to old to remember that far back :) but I imagine it was a lot different than this.
This was definitely more modern animation anyway but I think from memory the soundtrack is the same. My boy who loves DVD's for their music wasnt as into this one as other preschool DVD's as it didn't have as much music that he could dance to and the episodes I thought were quite long for smaller children. They were nice little stories though with very funny moments like one of the characters getting stuck in a giant cake and other silly antics that had you giggling.
The DVD also had good safety messages, I especially liked when Sarah and James tried going up the ladder to hang bunting and got into trouble and it had the message of never going up a ladder to ask a grown up for help. The stories had that simple story line with a moral to the story at the end which I think is great for young children.
There was a bonus sing along song at the end of the DVD, which was Cai's favourite part of the whole DVD he sure loves to boogie. Was a nice ending to an hour long DVD and we have put the song on for him to dance to a couple more times as you can select what episode you want to play from the main menu.
