Growing up in today's society is not easy for anyone, boy or girl, so "The Girls Book of Friendship" really is a wonderful guide for young girls everywhere. As parents we hope that our children will be accepted and fit in where-ever they may go, but we also know this is not always the case, and we also know that our children wont always tell us everything and don't always want to tell us everything either.

"The Girls Book of Friendship" aims to teach girls how to be the best friend they possibly can. It offers useful tips and advise on making friends, keeping true friendships that will last forever and also how to forgive friends when things go wrong. Its not all just serious advise and tips though, there are also activities, games, quizzes and even recipes for making the best friendship cookies ever.

The cover is eye catching in purple and pink, the pages themselves are a little less exciting, just white pages and black print. No color in the simple pictures either. But this is OK, as the information the book aims to teach is straight forward, to the point and not lost amongst bright colorful pictures.

A definitely must have for any young girl and I would definitely recommend it to any girl before she heads to junior high, perhaps from 8 yrs and up (7yrs would also be ok). For younger readers I recommend mum reading the book and being on hand with the games, activities and tips.
