This book is a hard cover book, which is a bonus for young hands. The cover is very bright, bold and attracting.
The illustrations in this book are actually collages made with recycled materials: found papers, magazines, ticket stubs, old letters, newspapers and boxes. These illustrations are what makes the pictures an art form.
Although the pictures are very creative, the storyline is rather thin. I got very bored at reading the word go, as it is written 162 times in this story. A bit of overkill don't you think?! Once all the go words had been read there were much more clever phrases like 'save the planet, Janet', 'plant a tree, Marie' and 'dont pollute, man-in-a-suit'. These phrases and matching pictures are great ideas to help kids learn how to be kind to the earth. After all, we only have one!!
I am still undecided on whether i like the two fold out pages. The book is aimed at kids aged 2 to 5, however i think it should be 5 to 10.
