I was thrilled to see that a list of DVDs to review was available just before the school holidays. I thought that if I was lucky enough to receive one, it would be fabulous to entertain the children on a dull and dreary day. Much to my frustration most of our holiday plans needed to be cancelled, this was due to all 3 children falling ill for the majority of the time. This 'Paw Patrol : Snow Patrol' DVD helped immensely to bring a smile to their faces.
Ryder and the Paw Patrol pups have been a favourite cartoon in this household since the show was first created. Each of my children have a different favourite pup, at the moment the favourites are Everest, Rubble and Chase. My boys were very excited that they now have a DVD to keep which features Everest the snow pup.
The cover of the DVD shows all the pups, including 4 wearing warm hats perfect for the winter, the cover also states that there is a bonus episode of 'Rusty Rivets' included. We proceeded to watch the DVD, there were 7 Paw Patrol episodes and 1 Rusty Rivets episode, with an overall running time of approximately 93 minutes.
All 3 of my children were glued to their seats from start to finish, enjoying the adventures and watching the various rescues. The favourite episode which they couldn't stop talking about was 'Pups Save a Sleepwalking Bear.' This was their favourite they said as the bear did lots of funny things including riding a chairlift on the mountain.
I love how in every episode the main themes are teamwork and kindness, the fact that the characters are cute pups is an added bonus.
Rusty Rivets was equally as enjoyable and also focused on the theme of teamwork while trying to find Crush, my children were yelling out suggestions to the television of where they thought he could be. My youngest was fascinated by the robots in this show.
Overall we are never disappointed by Paw Patrol episodes, my children range in age from 2 - 7 years of age, and they all thoroughly enjoy the show. We can't wait to see what new and crazy rescue adventures the pups and Ryder go on in the future.
