SuDoku - The Board Game product reviews

The multi-player SuDoku Board game is based on the addictive SuDoku puzzle craze
    •  Copy a SuDoku puzzle onto the wipe-off board.
    •  2 to 4 players attempt to complete it, competing against each other and the timer.
    •  Place a number correctly to score points - but remember... you may have to justify your choice.

Every game is different, as not only have we provided 200 SuDoku puzzles to get you started, but the game is compatible with puzzles set in the major newspapers and SuDoku books.

Sudoku puzzles have always been a bit of a selfish "ignore everyone else in the room" type of thing, but the idea of making a board game for friends to join in is brilliant.

I found the Sudoku board game very easy to understand - perfect for teaching newcomers the ropes. The puzzle cards supplied tend to be very easy, whereas the newspaper or book ones provide a bit more of a challenge. (I don't recommend a Diabolical though...)

The basic idea is that you try to fill in the higher numbers first, as the points are worked out on a face value basis. If you use a puzzle that's too easy, the 9's will go immediately, whereas a harder sudoku will leave a more even mix of numbers at the end.

There are only two things that could be done to improve the game:
1. Catagorised cards (easy, medium, hard), rather than all apparently easy; and
2. An electronic or clockwork timer. (You spend so much time watching the sand trickle down that you forget to put a number in...)

Overall a very fun and interactive game. Well done. :)
