I have, at home, three children who love climbing, one hampered by her fear of heights once she sees the distance to the ground, and one hampered by her small stature, but all 3 know that climbing is encouraged and so I knew a book about a child who lives to climb would be perfect for them. Sometimes rhyming books don't quite rhyme, but these all went together beautifully and had the added benefit of being come really good examples as my kids discover how to rhyme. The story is done really well and it moves along at a good pace.

The illustrations are lovely, there are parts which are lovely and simplistic and some bits have a lovely amount of detail. I read this book to my nine, seven and five year old kids and all were hooked on the tale. My nine year old said that his favourite part involved a rescue (I don't want to spoil it) and that he loved this book ten hundred and fifty thousand out of ten, so very high praise. Both of my other children also gave it full makes out of ten.

I thought that this was a fun and delightful book, good for the kids and done rather lovely. Its a book to keep, that's for sure.
