12 Monkeys: Season One product reviews

When I saw the trailer for this TV series I knew it was one I had to give a decent try, I've seen the Bruce Willis film a few times and was interested to see how this would go. The TV series jumps between 2015, 2043 and in-between and beforehand, we've yet to go beyond. Throught it all we learn about Cole and how he got to where he is in this story, as well as Cassie, Ramses and everyone else involved, getting to see where they are and where they were. As with anything that jumps here and there it can get a bit confusing, especailly if you miss the date (at least it does tell us).

The acting is well done but there are plenty of moments that one feels could have been better acted. Brad Pitts role has been taken over by Hampshire, who does a good job as the very mentally unstable Jennifer and I jump between being irritated as hell and loving her character. Don't expect anything fast paced, afterall it was a story within a couple of hours and now needs to span dozens of hours but there is a good mystery as to who exactly the 12 Monkeys are and who the Witness is, it's the one thing that's keeping me watching it!

This was a good season and whilst I've found it hard at times to watch it I'm still keen on seeing where it takes us in season two.
