An Idiot Abroad: Series Two product reviews

Once again Ricky Gervais and Stephen Merchant send an idiot abroad. This time he's off to complete a 'Bucket List' of things to do before you die. Problem is, it's not Karl's list, and he's not happy.

After seeing the Seven Wonders in An Idiot Abroad Series 1 our resident 'idiot' Karl Pilkington is not exactly eager to travel again - certainly not if Ricky & Stephen are calling the shots. So Karl's only agreed to do another series if there's a change in the rules. He gets to choose where he goes and what he does from the Bucket List. This time he'll be in charge.

Karl will be dispatched to far flung corners of the world to complete his bucket list - such as swimming with dolphins in Australia, travelling Route 66 and staying on a desert island - in an attempt to prove whether they really are what they're cracked up to be.

Ricky Gervais and Stephen Merchant are both happy to go along with Karl's wishes to get him through the departure gate. But once Karl's back on the road, they're back to their old tricks, throwing in unwelcome surprises for Karl along the way to make sure he's always pushed out of his comfort zone.

Far from your average travel series, An Idiot Abroad 2 will have you writing your own bucket list - and splitting your sides laughing - as the ever-moronic, yet always lovable Karl Pilkington is sent around the globe.

Special Features: Deleted Scenes, Pilko's Pump Pants Featurette, Ain't No Pleasing You

I laughed myself silly with the first series of this show so eagerly waited and waited for a second season which to my disappointment never came!! So when I saw this available for review I eagerly applied (ok maybe begged) for my chance to review it. It was one of those programmes that both me and my partner enjoyed. Although it is a travel style doco it is done in a comedy format so your left in fits of giggles throughout.

This series was no disappointment I sat down this morning with a few hours spare and started watching. Love how Ricky and Stephen although not supposed to are still throwing surprises in Karl's direction it just wouldn't be the same if they didn't. The tasks they set him and the places they send him always end up hillarious as they are not at all what Karl has in mind or within his comfort zones. Had to laugh at one point in the DVD when Karl pretends he is participating in an event when he is not even there.

It was really cool seeing Karl in New Zealand even if he did chicken out of doing our famous bungy jump at the last minute. That would of been really cool to watch! I also really enjoyed strangely seeing him being dressed up as a lady boy in Thailand definitely not a pretty one by any means but ever so obliging to be dolled up the way he was. It is quite cool getting a look at different cultures from the likes of someone like him because he doesn't really take anything seriously!

Because it is a travel show you definitely get ideas of places you would like to go and things you would like to see throughout the world. I probably wouldn't partake in a lot of the activities Karl did but would certainly like to be there! Love this series and will be sure to watch it again on rainy days when I need a good laugh!
