Imagine there is a whole world underneath our floorboards, The Borrowers tells us one of their stories.

Arrietty is a borrower, very small people who live in different places and 'borrow' stuff, who is a bit tired of being quiet and cautious, when she is found out by a boy in the house she calls upon him for help when he and his family are evicted. When an accident causes Arrietty and her brother Peagreen to get left behind they must find a way to reunite with each other and save their home. The special effects are well done, though there are some parts where it doesn't quite gel.

The acting is good and it is easy to believe that the Clock family are that big and borrowing items off the Lender family. I love some of their inventions out of some of our everyday items, but still can't believe that the kids would love peas that much so as to eat a giant pea happily. LOL Icon John Goodman does a great job as the villain here, and one of my favourite scenes, right near the end, involves him being rather rude to a receptionist.

This is a fun family movie, we don't watch it often but when we do the whole family enjoys it.
