Identity Thief product reviews

Melissa McCarthy (Bridesmaids) and Jason Bateman (Horrible Bosses) lead an all-star cast in this hilarious comedy.

Unlimited funds have allowed Diana (McCarthy) to live it up on the outskirts of Orlando. There's only one glitch: she's financing her shopping sprees with an ID stolen from Sandy Patterson (Bateman), an accounts rep who lives halfway across the U.S.

With only one week to hunt down the con artist before his world implodes, the real Sandy Patterson is forced to extreme measures to clear his name

Identity theft is, sadly, a real life issue, but this of course, is a comedy. Right at the start you are shown just how easy it is for someone to steal your identity, just a few small details. This of course leads into the comedy side of things when Sandy finds out that he is wanted by police and has been accused of drug laundering and fraud. Sandy finds out the only way to clear his name is to find the thief and bring them to the police and his work to clear his name.

There are some parts where this feels like it lags just a little bit too much and they did try to bump up the humour by adding a few rag tag characters but this takes away from the movie a bit and not totally needed. The good thing though, is that there are still plenty of laughs with something that I am sure will appeal to most peoples sense of humour.

There is also a little bit of heart in this movie as whilst everything goes wrong, Sandy is forced to spend time with his identity thief, gets to know her and they become unlikely friends. This is where the heart of the story lies and it is done nicely enough that you can believe them befriending each other even though they are in very unlikely situations.

All in all this is a fun film that should appeal to most peoples funny bones.

Product reviews for listing 2867: Skyline
Directed by Colin and Greg Strause

Product image for SkylineJarrod and Elaine's trip to L.A. was supposed to be a fun weekend away to visit Jarrod's best friend, Terry. But when they are awakened by mysterious blue lights raining down over the city skyline, their weekend away quickly turns into a nightmare.

As day breaks, the full extent of the catastrophe becomes clear. Tankers, drones and hydra-like machines are invading the city. The human race faces annihilation as thousands of terrified people are sucked up into the alien ships.

Inescapable and seemingly indestructible, it will take every survival instinct they have to elude capture.
