Twelve year old Jane is a strong-willed girl who defies convention to follow her dream of becoming a knight. Brought up in the Royal Court to be a lady-in-waiting, a combination of determination and good fortune has made her dream come true.
Jane, her clumsy friend Dragon, and the many other eccentric and endearing characters who live in the castle find themselves a series of comical adventures, while teaching children the importance of language and literacy.
Jane's intolerance for injustice gets her into all kinds of trouble as she demonstrates her bavery, friendship and fallibility in this final instalment from Series 1.

By far the best dvd of the batch if for no other reason than it has two extra episodes tucked in there rounding off the 26 for series 1. Some great tales are enclosed, including my favourite, 'mismatched' where Jane and Gunther become the center of attention when false rumours start to fly around the castle. This tale reminds us that spreading rumours can get out of hand and a most innocent action, when taken out of context by nosey fools, can become far more than it ever started out as.
With mysteries to solve, lost friends to find, dangers to overcome and traps to deal with, there is a lot to keep the younger viewers attention while teaching them some valuable lessons in the process.
Well worth watching and a great addition to the kids library. If you haven't come across Jane and the Dragon before now, then you are missing out. Luckily, you should still be able to buy the complete set from your nearest retailer.
