Really like the Dr Sprott covers for cots. (and also for bassinets).
Being concerned about SIDS/SUDI - this gave both my husband and I a bit of peace of mind that we were doing what we could to eliminate possible risk factors.
These are easy to use (put on mattress and tape it closed) and easy to remove if you need to, and provide the added bonus of protecting the mattress.
They are not "attractive" - a piece of firmish plastic, but they are under sheets anyway, and are designed to stop gases etc from coming up from the mattress.

It also came in handy for those nights that we all have with tummy bugs or leaky nappies etc :) Would recommend, especially to first time mums that need that extra bit of reassurance :)
