I have never been a great fan of 'Hawaiian' style pizzas... they have always struck me as... well... bland. Sure, there are plenty of people out for whom that is the ultimate pizza... my young son is one of them. (He obviously didn't inherit my tastebuds, that's for sure
)...
Despite that, I thought I would give this one a try... after all, the bacon and cotto should have done something to reduce the "where's the flavour" factor a bit... and they sure did! Lovely! The smokey bacon and cotto really added some flavour, which was a welcome change from the usual 'hawaiin' fare.
Overall, on a classic crust, this isn't too bad... but it probably would be much more to my tastes to try it on a cheesy crust next time. ![]()
