This is a stunning visual journey through our qorld, seen in a medley of moments frozen out of time. Artfully arranged in sequence, with atmospheric background music, this is a photodocumentary in it's most pristine form.
No words, just music, and stunning, eye-opening imagery.
I admit I was a little disappointed... I was hoping for something with a little more dialogue and context, but in this case I think it really kinda worked just the way they did it. It leaves the viewer to discover the context and connections for themselves, which means actually paying attention to the detailed images as well as the 'wider view' style as well.
I admit that prior to this I had never heard of the famous French photographer, Msr Yann Arthus-Bertrand, however I will be keeping an eye out for his works a lot more keenly now that I have seen some of the truely stunning images he has capture thus far.
Overall, wasn't overly impressed with some of the soundtrack, however the images more than make up for it. if you feel you must, hit the -mute- button on the TV and put on some etherial music of your own choice. Dim the lights and settle back for some mind-blowing photography...
