Having used The bean for a while now, and noticing the improvements on my lower back and abdominal strength, it was a great pleasure to give these power cords a run for their money. I was curious, and impressed, with their claim to be usable with or without The Bean. Of course, with The bean being an inflatable unit, I didn't think there was a way to attach anything securely enough to make it useful, but I wasn't expecting to see a free-standing platform either.

Once I unpacked it, I figured out pretty quickly that The Bean could sit in the empty section, holding down the platform thus providing effective resistance on the cords. The cords themselves were nothing exceptional, but quite effective none the less. I found that it greatly enhanced the whole Bean Experience and has allowed me to substitute this for 3 other pieces of fitness equipment I used to use.

Overall, though I would intially balk at the pricetag, especially with similar items available, having actually given these a try I now know why it's available. It adds a whole new level to The Bean without taking up any extra space on the floor, and is so easy to integrate into your normal Bean workout that you'll wonder why they didn't bundle it into one package to start with! An excellent addition to any Beaners equipment lineup.
