It all started with Mintasy - our iconic teal bar was the very first Ethique shampoo bar and it remains a crowd favourite to this day!
Mintasy (previously Damage Control) is the perfect bar for normal-to-dry hair that could do with a little TLC; maybe you heat-style a couple of times a week, or maybe you enjoy an occasional swim and your tresses are a little tired from the chlorine. Regardless, this uplifting bar with cocoa butter, peppermint oil and a generous dose of fair trade Samoan coconut oil will cleanse and smooth your hair shaft without weighing strands down.

I have been trying various brands of solid shampoo to try and find one that cleans my hair and leaves it feeling soft and not like a bundle of hay. I had a look at the website a few years ago but was put off by the price but Facebook keeps "suggesting for you" and so I thought to give it another chance and I was surprised by the variety of shampoo available.
The box arrived and the smells were amazing, if I didn't know it was shampoo and body wash and deodorant I might have been tempted to give the contents a quick nibble. The box doesn't make claims of lasting for a certain number of washes so I was just hoping that it would last a bit longer than 3 weeks as that is how long the other brand of solid shampoo was lasting me.
I opened the box and my first thought was "this is huge, it is going to last a while" and I was right. The bar lathered up really well and left my hair feeling great, the bar lasted a little over five weeks so overall a good buy. Only negative I have about this bar is that if you are unlucky enough to get this into your eyes (quite by mistake) it stings like a little ***** but as soon as you put your face under water to rinse it off, the sting goes away.
I am currently trying a few of the other shampoo bars available from Ethique to see which one I prefer but this is one I will buy again. My hair was clean and soft and I liked how I could tell the shampoo from the conditioner as the colours are vibrant and easy to tell apart. Other good points is that the products are natural and don't contain palm oil. For every order placed on our website starting on April 22 2020 until forever more, we will plant a tree (or mangrove), with our partner Offset Earth
