Lots of... Fudgie Chocolate Brownie JarProduct reviews...
I have, for as long as I can remember, always been a pretty strict chocolate sauce kinda gal, and I only use sweet sauce on my icecream. I have seen other sauce flavours available, and thought that seems nice, but I always stick to the tried and true. I think I worry that any other flavour will be far to sweet, or to runny, or whatever. And then I discovered Hersheys caramel topping.
This little beauty of a sauce is the best thing ever! Possibly even better than any chocolate sauce I have ever had the pleasure of pouring over my ice cream. And for the first time ever, I have used it on more than just ice cream. It comes in a handy wee easy to open glass jar not a bottle, so you can see exactly how much you have left, as well as how much you are using. It is not overly running either, having a really good consistency and as such you only need 2-3 teaspoons of it on ice cream. It is also not terribly sweet, although you do think it might be.
It is amazing on ice cream yes, but it is super amazing drizzled over cake...any cake probably lol but we drizzled it over a simple vanilla cake. It was even more amazing drizzled over a chocolate brownie. Its very good to bake with. Add a half teaspoon to the middle of cupcakes/muffins before baking, and you get a lovely caramel flavour through and the surprise of the sauce in the middle, and it is also equally amazing as a dipping sauce for a fruit platter.
It is priced at around $6 for the jar, and it is not a huge jar either, but I think because you only need to use a small amount each time that it does last a lot longer than you expect. It is also versatile as indicated above. You can have it warm or cold, so perfect for baking, and the jar can be microwaved (although do not microwave for to long or the jar and contents will get way to hot).
My only gripe, being a US product, I have to buy it from an online website as I can not find it anywhere else ![]()
