Miss Ten is a huge fan of the Pippa Morgan series thanks to KIWIreviews. She is an avid reader and loves this type of book. She can read an entire chapter book in one afternoon if she is left alone.

I too quite enjoy this series and could happily read more of this series. The book is set out like a diary with lots of sketch styled drawings. It is set from an 8-10 year old girls perspective. It is a great book for this age group. I like the innocence and the mischief Pippa gets up too. She reminds me of my daughter in many ways! The fact she so badly wants a puppy is just one similarity they share. I do hope that she does not pick up on Pippa's mischievous plots to get a puppy! I encourage Miss Ten to keep a diary but she looses interest quickly or forgets maybe reading Pippa Morgan's will encourage and motivate her to start writing again.

I think these books are perfect for young girls, as one of those mums that like to buy books for the countless birthday parties kids seem to be invited to this is a series that will remain at the top of the list.

My two big little misses are reading so many books I struggle to keep up with supply so its always great when I am able to give them some new books to read that they have to review as well. When I saw the title I instantly new that my Miss eight was going to love this book. My three girls are there own bowl of trouble and there are daily requests for a dog (along the lines of "mum why can't we have a dog...you're so mean I want one now....etc") so as soon as I read the first fe pages I knew that Pippa and My Miss Eight were of exactly the same mindset!

On page two of her diary Pippa lists why she should have a dog and then lies in bed with all her stuffed animals and I know that Miss Eight and Pippa are kindred spirits... My Miss Eight of course absolutely loved this book so much so that she even read it twice. This book is written in diary style and has a few simple illustrations but not too many. It is written perfectly for an age 8 year old girl and my miss nine enjoyed it also so this is probably a good indicator of the age range that this book is suitable for.
I don't want to ruin the plot but I love the story line of Pippa swapping her affections to get the class hamster and then she eventually might (spoiler alert) just get what she wants.

I was surprised actually how much I enjoyed this book so I will definitely look for more of Pippa's diaries for my girls as I think this is a great series that they really enjoy and are quite delightfully funny. For $18 this is good value for the enjoyment factor and that it is re-readable. I would definitely recommend this if you have young girls that are puppy/dog obsessed like mine. Though I have to say I hope mine don't decide to get up to the same tricks to get a dog! Brilliant book and we look forward to reading more and getting to know Pippa better.
