Billy Broccoli is on a mission. If he can help the Hoove - his very own personal ghost - learn to be responsible, Billy may finally get his room to himself! And Billy has come up with the perfect plan.
He's going to get the Hoove a pet - one the Hoove won't be able to resist caring for. But the Hoove is not exactly an animal enthusiast. He thinks dogs are dull and hamsters are cheesy. And all because he has his heart set on a goat that would destroy everything.
With all of these pets on parade, Billy's room has become a zoo. He's got to turn Hoover into a mother hen soon if he ever wants to get some peace and quiet.

I loved this book, I was laughing by the third line and some parts I had to stop reading or I would be laughing so much I would be crying (happy tears). The story was well written and the characters worked well together, it was easy to imagine being there and seeing some of the situations and the poor animals reaction to a ghost.
The Hoove is a typical teenager with one difference, he is a ghost who has to learn to be responsible but as anybody knows teenagers aren't wanting to follow rules. It is rather funny to imagine how Billy thought that a pet would teach Hoove some responsibility, parents do it all the time with kids and finding the perfect pet is proving to be a slight problem.
I would recommend this book to anyone with a sense of humour, I see that this is part of a series and am really tempted to treat myself and the kids to the entire set.
