With people being more and more rushed, trying to fit more and more activities into their day, with early morning commutes and working 'til late, energy is the big thing right now. Some companies will bring out more coffee, while others will jump on the bandwagon by creating a concoction of an energy drink. But there is a third group that will just carbonate their existing drinks and dump in some guarana, taurine, and other substances that people don't understand, but still associate with energy.
As a man that has worked variable shift work for many years, doing 50-80 hours a week, I have often needed a hit of energy to keep myself functioning. So of course I've tried near enough every form of fruit, sports, fizzy, or energy drink that has been created. I tried this flavor within two days of its release, and I was unimpressed. While it wasn't disgusting, it was neither reminiscent of the non-carbonated e2 berry drink nor was it something super amazing and new.
The flavor was rather flat, and made me think of that colour-free raspberry 'Raro' except if someone had mixed in some lemonade to make it fizzy. It failed to be something extraordinary, and there were far more superior drinks available. Safe to say I haven't felt the need to buy this again.
I love this drink. I love the fizz berry taste. I had a stressful job that required to work long hours. This drink was the wake up call I needed. It gave me energy and keep me going and going. I love the attractive cans. The price is pretty good. I used to drink at least 2-3 cans a day of energy drinks. I wish they were still made. Great product.
I really must learn to read the cans before I buy the drinks... I REALLY must. A good friend told me about these, and she raved about the flavour... so when I saw them on special at the supermarket I grabbed a couple of each variety.
I don't like berry drinks at the best of times, so it was a revolting shock to my tastebuds to have fizzy berry juice rush over them. The flavour was wierd, unpleasant and just downright 'Not-My-Bag-Baby'.
Overall... NEVER again. Now, what's the Citrus Kick one like? At least I can enjoy a nice citrus drink.
I happened on this particular flavour during a recent visit to my local dairy. Having tried Citrus Kick flavour, I was looking forward to trying any other variations.
I was very pleasantly surprised. The mix of flavours was, I think, pretty good. Although the guarana did show through in the taste, I dont think it was as overwhelming as in other 'Energy Drinks'.
I really enjoy berry drinks and would gladly part with my money for more of this yummy stuff.

More Life. More Style. More Energy.
Most energy drinks taste artificial, because they are artificial. 28 BLACK is different. It's the first natural energy drink based on the Brazilian acai berry, with a refreshing and deliciously fruity taste that really makes it stand out from the crowd!
