Wow considering this is a children's book I thoroughly enjoyed reading this book. It was crammed full of mystery and suspense as young Raven tried to find out what had happened to her missing dad. Right from the first pages I was drawn into the storyline and was left wanting to read more so I could find out what had happened to her Dad and whether he was in hiding or something sinister had happened to him.

Raven's dad had gone missing suddenly one day with no clues as to where he had gone, except for his blood stained car that had been discovered nearby. The police suspected he may be a murderer and may be hiding out somewhere. However Raven was doing her own detective work and uncovered many secrets about her Dad that she did not know like the fact that she had a sister from a previous marriage and a whole pile of secret identities, passports and stamps from round the world trips he had made in the last year.

It seemed to that lots of other people were searching for her Dad and people were certainly watching Raven and listening to her other move. She couldn't trust anyone. One person that could have held some clues was her dad's assistant Marissa she had something to tell Raven but then mysteriously had a car accident and fell into a coma and then to add to the mystery she went missing from her hospital bed. Other characters too held clues there was the mysterious Joe who knew more than he was letting on and Trudi who also knew stuff about Raven's dad that she didn't know.

The story definetly left you asking questions. What did Marissa know? What or who was Marissa so scared off? Why did her Dad have so many secret identities? Was he some sort of spy or secret agent, and where could he be? As there is another book in the series these questions are still left unanswered and have left me wanting to go out and get the final book in the series to find out what happens next. So it has certainly drawn me in and left me wanting more. I also am left wanting to read the first book in the series so I can see if the first book my hold any clues as to what has happened. Although it is the second book in the series it is so well written that you didn't need to read the first book to enjoy the story and you didn't feel that any information was missing. Overall a brilliant read.
