Parrot ZIK 3Product reviews...
As professional gear, these are a pretty high-end brand - people who know their stuff use this brand, so I felt a little overwhelmed and under-prepared to assess such gear, but we were given it to do, and do it we did.
To start with, these were quite possibly the most comfortable headphones I have worn in over a decade. Despite a firm grip on my head, they remained comfortable without any sensation of excessive pressure or discomfort, even at the point where the arms of my glasses passed under them and behind my ear... nothing, no pressure, no discomfort, utter bliss.
The sound quality was brilliant - as is to be expected from such a brand - but still it is worth confirming that these will give you a wide enough range of sound that if your ear is capable of detecting it, it'll be there when the source feeds it to you. You really can't ask for better than that!
I gave these a good flex-test and found them to be well able to handle as much flex - plus a bit more - as they could reasonably expect to see during normal usage, so that seems to indicate a good durability... I didn't want to push them beyond their limits because they are just too darned beautiful to risk breaking. ![]()
Overall, if you are looking for quality gear, you'll have to accept a heftier pricetag than those on the cheaper models you can buy at bulk-retail stores... this is a fair price for something of this exceptional quality... and keep in mind that these are probably around the entry-level for this kind of gear... quality costs some solid coin these days. But if it's the good stuff you want, and you know the price range you'll be in for, these are a great option to consider. You won't regret the purchase, IMHO.
