Epic Fail Tales 2: Attack of the Giant Robot Zombie Mermaid product reviews

Don't panic! This definitely ISN'T the soppy story of The Little Mermaid that has annoyed children for years.

This way better and completely ridiculous retelling of the classic tale brings the story to life for a whole new warped generation of ruthless, batty, booger barbarians!

Now with added slime, pirates, zombies, explosions, meerkats PLUS the scariest theme park ride in the entire galaxy!

Attack of the Giant Robot Zombie Mermaid is one heck of a title and leaves nothing to the imagination when it comes to what's coming up in the book, that plus the fact that it is ever so loosely based upon The Little Mermaid, tells you everything you might need to know about its contents. My two older kids were more interested in this book than their youngest sibling, which was to be expected, who has hardly touched this book. My eight year old is currently more interested in the illustrations than the actual story itself, often just perusing the book and breaking out in fits of laughter or bringing me the book to inform me of a particularly funny picture.

My nine year old has been seen looking at the book many times since we got it in our box of goodies, slowly reading the actual storyline and often pointing out the odd bits, the strange bits, the gross bits and of course the funny bits. He likes that the girl gets to be the main character and just as gross as a guy character but agrees that he wouldn't want to meet a giant robot zombie mermaid. This has been such a hit with him that I will keep an eye out for the next in the series.

What an interesting and funny awesome book the attack of the giant robot zombie mermaid is. I found this book very entertaining and my son really loved it and was hooked on the book. To start with I love the bright blue cover and the pictures which captured my son straight away. Like most 8 year old boys he is in to zombies and pirates and all things creepy and crawly.

My son found this easy to read and with help from me with some words he was having many giggles at the story. He was really enjoying looking at all the pictures as well pointing out everything he could see. We read this book over two nights as he did not want to put it down. Normally he will read a chapter a night but this book was not broken down into chapters so we kept reading till he got too tired to read anymore.

My son talked about this book with his cousin when he visited and I observed the two of them sitting down for a good hour sharing the book and many laughs. Pointing at the pictures within the book and reading some lines from it. This was good to see as normally they always want to play on the play station. It is rare these days that I see the boys sit down with a book and actually enjoy it, so as a parent I really loved that. I think the price is fair for the book, it brought many hours of fun and laughs and entertainment and I can see my son and his cousin still enjoying the book more over the following weekends.
