The cover of this book is adorable! We love hippos and we all know a mum that is the best! I love that each page has one sentence so was easy to keep the kids engaged and the images were fun and created discussion which is one of my favourite parts of reading to my children. For them to express their thoughts can be a magical thing! This book also encourages them to use their imaginations!

The book highlighted some of the more important things that a mother does for her children. Although you may not be able to fit everything that a mother does into one children's book! Each page has a mother, a child and a sentence about what they are doing in the illustration. It is simple for beginner readers to read on their own and for the family to enjoy together also.

The illustrations have a hint of humour which make this book fun. I would recommend this book for pre-schoolers. It would be fun for families, daycares or kindergartens. This would make a great gift for a new mum, a first birthday or even a mothers first mothers day! The images are adorable and the story is short and easy to follow.

This book is a little typical of books that seem to come out around mothers day. Less than 50 words with some cute illustrations of animals stating all the things that mums do that make them the best. Well obviously not all that us mums do because that's a novel but a few key things!! I liked the title of this book because my middle little miss always tells me I am the best mum in the whole world which never fails to melt my heart. We all need to be told how great we are and for that reason this is a brilliant book to buy to read with your little ones just to buoy your spirits!

The illustrations are very cute and my little Miss five did love these as did my Miss Eight. I think the price point is a bit high for what this is but if this was on sale or you are wanted to make a mum smile this is a lovely book to read with your little ones. I can recommend this as a cute book for mothers day or to give to a new mum or for a child to use to sweet talk mum!
