Manchester by the Sea follows the story of Lee Chandler who, after the sudden death of his brother Jo, is shocked to learn he has become the sole guardian of his 16 year old nephew. Reluctantly returning to his hometown, Manchester-by-the-Sea, Lee is forced to deal with a past that separated him from his ex-wife Randi, and the community where he was born and raised.
