Bagthulhu - the Diabolical Dice Bag product reviews

Proud to promote NZ productsBagthulhu is an unspeakable horror in the form of a cuddly soft toy dicebag for the most discerning of cultists. He likes dice, souls, and comfy places to wait dreaming.

In his earthly form Bagthulhu is made of super soft microfleece or plush, and stands 20cm/8" tall. Flip back his head to reveal a dicebag belly with a double drawstring closure.

His monstrous appetite has been specially upgraded for this campaign to devour up to 100 standard sized dice with room left over for an innocent soul.

I got one of these a while ago, and while I am not a huge "dice gamer" I do play a number of board games that require some dice and a lot of tokens. The old bag that I made for myself back in Uni days (all too long ago) has seen it's best days go past, and was tatty, so having a plush, cuddly demonic Elder God to hold all my dice and tokens just made sense.

Since then, I have taken Baggy everywhere I go go for gaming, and he has drawn comments, and offers of souls, at every turn. Madness has ensued when I informed the mortals that they too could own a Bagthulhu by visiting the facebook group of the creator. And now (as of the time of writing this review) it is now a Kickstarter campaign in full swing, taking this world by storm.

The hand-made versions are very well made indeed, especially for a small 'home operation' so it's great to see that the next generation of Bagthulhus are going to be commercially crafted. If they maintain the standards of the originals, they will be equally well received I am certain. The one I have holds around 85 dice easily, and the drawstring is easily able to close up fully, ensuring no dice escape their cuddly fate in the belly of this diabolical dicebag.

Overall, this is one of the best gaming accessories I have ever come across, and I plan to buy another one as a gift to a friend who just loves awesomely evil plushies!
