There is something about the colors that have been used in this book that have such a calming effect on me. There are only about half a dozen colors used throughout the book and they add so much to the story. The pictures are very floaty and in some cases take up the whole two pages and they capture the story beautifully. The font used throughout is nice and large and works well with the pictures.

The story is very simple and in all honesty, I requested the book in hope for some answers. As a young girl I could never understand how a princess could be so rude and say they had a very uncomfortable sleep, no matter how I sleep I always say fine as I don't want to insult the hosts but with this story the princess never has any objection in being honest. Due to her honesty the proof required reveals she is indeed a Princess and so gets to marry the Prince. I still do not understand it to this day.

My girls have both enjoyed the story and I have read it now a couple of times to my youngest. She loves the pictures, but then she loves all things princess. I asked her if she would tell the king and queen the truth about not being able to sleep and she said no she would say she had a bad dream and couldn't sleep which sounds very feasible to me. The whole thing still leaves me scratching my head. But, my issues aside a lovely book full with magic.
