When it comes to a quality chicken burger from Burger King you really can't go past the Tendercrisp (my partner agrees and he used to work for Burger King, so i'll take his word for it). The chicken is a real chicken pattie consisting of a premium chicken fillet, which makes it almost gourmet compared to the processed chicken you usually find in a burger at a fast food joint. The ingredients are always so fresh and consist of juicy tomatoes, crisp lettuce and mayonnaise. It certainly makes for a very yummy taste sensation.

Although the original Tendercrisp is fantastic on it's own, I have to admit that I do sometimes like to change it up a little. One of my favourite flavour combinations to create with this yummy chicken fillet is to add pineapple instead of tomato, as well as some crispy bacon and tangy BBQ sauce. The other way to make this burger taste really good is to take add some golden onion rings and cheese.

The Tendercrisp comes on it's own special bun which is a little bit fancy as opposed to there other burger buns, it is always so fresh and warmed to perfection. I have noticed recently that Burger King has expanded its range of Tendercrisp burgers creating a special collection which these now fall under called the 'King's Collection', I have tried several of these and they are super yummy and a few of them do resemble the creations I have made in the past, I must have good taste!

At $6.25 they are a little bit pricey, but if your wanting real chicken it's definitely worth paying that little bit extra! It is certain to full you up especially if teamed with a drink and side of fries!

This is my second favourite burger, losing out to KFC's Zinger burger. Having a proper fillet of chicken, as opposed to blended chicken plopped into a patty shape, meant that this burger was instantly better than every single McDonald's burger created.

With or without tomatoes, this burger is delicious, with the crispy fillet on a soft bun drizzled in a creamy mayo. Clearly proving ever popular, the range has expanded beyond mayo and spicy; with the recent addition of Honey & Soy, Chilli & Lime, Periperi, and Honey Mustard. When I first tried the Honey Mustard Tendercrisp it almost overtook the Zinger burger into first place. It was delectable and is now my first choice at Burger King, instead of the BK Chicken.

The success of the Tendercrisp lies solely on it's use of the chicken fillet over a chicken patty, and I look forward to trying all of the new flavours, to see if they stand up to the Honey Mustard. I hope that more restaurants will take heed and start using proper meat fillets in their burgers. I certainly have no issue in paying more money for a burger that I enjoy that much.

I have no issues with recommending this burger.

I am highly impressed with Burger King's latest addition - The 'Tendercrisp Chicken' burger.

You can order this burger with mayo or spicy sauce. I chose mayo. I was pleasantly surprised with the size of the burger. It is quite large, and the chicken fillet covered the entire surface of the bun. The chicken was tender and the coating crisp...as the name suggests. The lettuce was very crisp and fresh and was only the inner core of the iceberg lettce, no soggy outer leaves. This burger actually looks like the picture, which is great!

At $6.25, it is a little expensive but it definitely filled me up and is also about the same price as the other BK chicken burgers.
