On the first day of christmas my true love gave to me...... this book!!
This is one of the best christmas singing books you will ever get. The pictures are amazing and the story/song is fantastic. My girls love this book just before christmas it comes out and I have to read it like a thousand times before christmas day. It is very catchy and they both 'now' have there parts to play in the song.
It is very 'kiwi' orientated and the pictures express this like on the eight day of christmas the while pigs are dressed in the All black outfit. My favourite has to be on day six when the sheep are surfing and there are sharks in the water waiting patiently with there cutlery while the sheeps are doing there thing on the waves. We all love it and every time we read it one of the girls points to something new that you did not notice the first time.
It has the music break down also so if you have some musical instrument in the house like a piano you could play it while everyone else belts the tune out. The last couple of pages show Santa arriving with the gifts while everyone is asleep on christmas eve. Then on christmas day it shows everyone opening there gifts with huge smiles on there faces and the last day Boxing day with Santa Kiwi asleep under the umbrella which really shows what a christmas is like in New Zealand. Love it.
