Elliott Elephant used to be... rude!
He guzzled his drink and he gobbled his food.
And when he would trumpet, as elephants do,
He'd trumpety trump from his bottom end too!
Elliott Elephant is so busy having fun that he stops thinking about his friends - he charges and barges, he belly-flops into the water with an almighty splash, and he even toot-toots from both ends! But Elliott learns the hard way that if you care for others they'll care about you.
A riotous rhyming picture book full of humour - with a very important lesson about friendship.

Well right from the word go Miss Two has loved this book. The cover is brilliant with beautiful colourful and glossy pictures of Elliot the elephant and his jungle friends. All through the book the bold colourful illustrations are very entertaining and humorous and Miss Two loves looking at the illustrations and finds them very funny. Miss Two insists that she is read this book every night and usually manages a read from dad and a read from me as well as occasionally getting her big sisters to read it to her also. It is safe to say that it is now one of her favourites so has to get a top score from her.
Although I am not so keen on the Trumpety Trump story it is actually quite funny and really appeals to Miss Two (and Miss Five and Six's) sense of humour. They think it is absolutely hilarious when Elliot Trumpety Trumps from both ends and are in fits of laughter by the last page. The jungle animal theme is one that will appeal to both sexes and is always a winning combination.
I think that the book is brilliant and given how many laughs it has elicited in our family it is definitely good value for money.
Elliott Elephant used to be rude, Trumpety Trump tells the tale of how Elliott went from being rude and uncaring to polite and careful. The good thing about books like this is that they are a good lesson for your kids and sometimes a good reminder to any adult who may be listening.
The pictures in this book are lovely and colourful making the book even more of a delight. My two year old loves the pictures so much that she is content to just sit there flipping through the book, a great distraction when I just need her to sit down and still. The story is good, Elliott doesn't care about what he does and eventually gets told that he needs to start taking care about what he does. My youngest decided that when I said Trumpety-Trump that she needed to blow raspberries at me, an easy way to tell that she enjoyed it.
This is a fun book which my kids loved.
