Moving to New Zealand to live just two years ago, this remarkable 18 year old has made short work in beginning what looks to be an astonishing career. In the past two years 'Yulia' has learnt to speak English, passed all of her senior high school exams at `Cashmere High School' and has now signed a recording deal with Sony Music New Zealand and been confirmed for tours to Japan and USA. Her first ever concert (with Ivan Rebrof in Christchurch) received a standing ovation.
Her version of "Ave Maria" brought people to their feet with emotional accolade. Just a few weeks later and 2 sell-out concerts in Tokyo, Japan with superstar, Russell Watson & the Tokyo Philharmonic Orchestra she received another standing ovation and encores from a spellbound audience.
What is remarkable is the fact that these were the very first concerts of her life.
"In New Zealand there is everything for people, you can do anything. It is a good place and people help you without doing it for money or their personal benefit. This could never have happened to me in Russia." Yulia

Loved it, absolutely loved it.
From stirring renditions of Sarah McLaughlin's 'Angel' to a brilliant version of 'Scarborough Fair' I found myself completely mesmerised.
Another thing that blew me away was the Italian and Maori songs on the album.
All in all, a brilliant CD filled with stirring and uplifting melodies to please everybody. Must add it to my collection.
Dame Kiri te Kanawa, Charlotte Church, Hayley Westenra... and now there's Yulia. When it comes to a voice that could easily be classed as powerfully angelic, this young lady has it in spades.
To take into account that 2 years ago she couldn't speak English, simply adds another level of wonder to an already astounding young artist. From speaking only Russian to World-classed singer, and passing her High School exams in English shows the true spirit of Yulia, a determination to succeed second to none.
The songs were all perfectly suited to her voice, her tone and pitch control was astounding, and I was truely swept away by her singing. It had heart in it.
Overall, if you enjoy good singing, you will totally love this album. Yulia's voice exceeds all expectations.
