First and foremost thank you KIWIreviews and Roadshow Entertainment for allowing us to review the Back to School Collection DVD.
This DVD compiles a lovely collection of children's cartoon episode's all on the one disc. With a running time of 77 minutes you are most definitely getting your moneys worth with the Back to School Collection DVD.
The DVD kicks off first with Thomas the Tank Engine and friends, children, both boys and girls, of all ages love Thomas cartoons, so it was no surprise to hear my girl singing along to it. And again no surprise when she never left her seat. Unfortunately my daughter is not a Barney fan at all, so for the duration of this particular episode she wondered off to find something else to do...However she soon returned quickly as she likes Pingu and she was soon stuck in her seat once again, and this is where she stayed until the end of the DVD.
From a 5 year old girls perspective: Hmmmm yea its good. I don't like Barney though but I love Bob the Builder and that was funny. I like it.
*and she does as she has now watched it 3 times
*
From an adult perspective: As is always the case with children's cartoons, the soundtrack is catchy and kids love it. I really enjoyed the storyline's on this DVD and found them perfect timing for my little girl, who has recently started school. I love how kids cartoons have hidden messages, and always marvel at how they are made into a cartoon. Simply Awesome. All in all I enjoyed watching this with my daughter.
The ratings I have given for this DVD are possibly a little lower than what it actually deserves, but this is because it is quite difficult to rate a collection of episodes from a variety of different shows, and there are a couple that my little girl either does not like or they just did not hold her attention. If it was a DVD of episodes from the same cartoon then the ratings would be much easier to do. So please bare this in mind if considering purchasing this DVD.
