Fashion, craft, and beauty -- all tied up in a ribbon
Nothing beats a headband for keeping your hair in style and out of your eyes. No wonder they are the current fashion accessory of choice, seen on celebrities, fashion models, and regular girls everywhere. But with all the stylish options out there -- classic bows, glimmering bands, sporty elastics -- finding the perfect headband can get pretty hairy.
Enter Headbands & Hairstyles, everything a girl needs to design, make, and wear headbands in her own personal style. This chic how-to book shows young designers how to wrap the band and then make and attach super-cute embellishments like bows, ruffles, and flowers. Of course, all the supplies to make three uniquely beautiful headbands are provided.
Since half the fun of a headband is in how you wear it, we also include step-by-step instructions for five beautiful banded hairstyles. From a sleek ponytail to a pretty side-sweep to a fancy looped bun, there's something here for everyone. Whether your look is boho, fancy, preppy, or sporty, Headbands & Hairstyles is just your style.

I think that it's safe to say I have totally been won over the Klutz series.
This one contained everything we needed to make 3 headbands and contact information is given so that more supplies could be ordered.
Once again I got Miss 4.5 involved with this in choosing colours and what she wanted. It was much less hands on for her that the Fabulous Flowers book was but still she enjoyed sitting down with me to watch I was doing and offer commentary.
As the principal headband maker I found the instructions clear and easy to follow. There were plenty of options to create something just right for my daughter and I enjoyed doing it.
I also liked that there is a section on how to create different hairstyles. We'll definitely be trying a few of them out on Miss 4.5.
Once again it's two thumbs way up from us!
Klutz headband & hairstyles is absolutely awesome. A complete set with everything you need to create your own beautiful hair accessories, including two headbands, ribbon, glue and embellishments. The instructions are easy to understand and follow, along with diagrams, completed pictures and a list of everything you need before you begin.
The book shows you how to make your own creations in the first half, while the second half of the book has step by step instructions, with photos and diagrams showing you how to do a number of pretty, yet funky hair styles. All styles are easy and manageable for a girl of any age who is already doing her own hair.
At the back of the book is contact information for Klutz, including how/where to get extra ribbon, headbands, glue etc when you run out, which is just awesome. Sure you could pick up ribbon etc from anywhere, but not the same as what is supplied. So if you had a half completed headband, you could order the exact same supplies that you started with.
This really is a wonderful set, most definitely worth the price, easy to understand, lovely to read and well, just a really great investment. The perfect gift for any girl.

In all the ways that matter, Mark is a normal kid. He's got a dog named Beau and a best friend, Jessie. He likes to take photos and write haiku poems in his notebook. He dreams of climbing a mountain one day.
But in one important way, Mark is not like other kids at all. Mark is sick. The kind of sick that means hospitals. And treatments. The kind of sick some people never get better from.
So Mark runs away. He leaves ... more...
