My mother in law rang us up in tears over this book, she told me all about it and then kept going on about the last page. The next time at her house she had brought for the girls and as I was reading she was telling us what was about to happen and reminding us of the last page...... not very helpful.
I am not one for toilet humour and absolutely hate discussing this sort of subject but this book is so funny and told in such a fantastic way it is not offensive at all. The poor short sighted mole stuck his head out of the hole and got pooed on. He sets off on a mission to find out what animal had done the terrible event to him such he can get his revenge.
It is fantastic for children because it teaches them that everyone is different and does different bodily actions. You laugh at the pictures because they are so vivid and thankfully, you do not have to smell them, but if you are like us you make a big stink about it. The pictures are very cute and you are really happy that the mole finds the culprit and gets his ummmm revenge.
A fantastic book that the whole family will love. Well worth a read, but be warned once is never enough.
I love the story of The Little Mole Who Knew it was none of his Business. I first discovered it years again and it's remained a firm favourite every since. Not only do I have a normal version of it. I also own the poop up version and a soft toy and book set.
The book is about poop who could not find something like that amusing? All the kids I have worked with throughout the years certainly find it funny and its a much requested and a much loved book. I find it one of those books that draws in everyone. It's really good to settle down those rowdy 4 year old boys who never usually stay still long enough to listen to a story.
The illustrations are awesome and go so well with the story each page showing the poop just the way the words describe. The page where the mole discovers who did it never fails to get loads of giggles from everyone. If I'm reading it when parents arrive they usually end up hanging around to hear the end of the story. Some of the conversations that lead on from the story are also just as amusing!
If you are easily offended by poop and toilet talk then this isn't the book for you but if you don't mind the odd toilet humour story it's well worth a read!
