Well I can very really say that I officially have the Thomas and friends theme song stuck in my head. My 2 year old is Thomas mad to say the least. He has a lot of Thomas themed toys and clothing which he is obsessed with he has to take the books and toys to bed every night and it is a very sad day when his Thomas pajamas are in the wash so I knew his eyes would light up this morning when this DVD arrived to review.
We used to have a DVD but it got lost so we have been watching episodes were we can on you tube which hasn't been often as it is quite a hassle as master 2 plays with all the buttons on the lap top and turns it off every five minutes so this DVD has made my day too. Every morning when he wakes he asks for Thomas so now we have a DVD we can put on while we eat breakfast.
The episodes in this are great they are all new episodes so they weren't ones we have seen before which is good as he had his whole attention on watching what was going on in the movie. The episodes were all very exciting with Thomas and his Friends having special jobs to do in each episode. A common theme was having problems to encounter when trying to do the right thing and be a really useful engine. All the engines want to be the most useful engine so at times they run into problems when they think they are doing the right thing rather than listening to instructions.
This is a rather important moral for the DVD to be teaching. Master twos favourite episode was the episode with the Warbler of Sodor when the bird the Sodor Warbler comes to town and everyone is all excited to see it. Cai thought it was hillarious when the Warbler catches a ride on one of the trains bumpers. He is bird mad too so this was a nice little combo. Plenty of messages about helping others in this DVD too with all the engines finding that it is best to work together.
