This was a great book, introducing a host of stunning characters, scenarios, and interaction networks. This book weaves a web so vivid it's amazing.

In many ways, I wish I was born later, late enough to be in that world... the playtools the technos play with had me drooling, and advanced science had me stunned... but in other ways I am glad I live no... pre-collapse. What goes up, must come down... that stands true for goverments, societies, populations, as well as gravity-affected objects.

Overall, this looks to be a great start to a stunning series. I am very much looking forward to reading his next book, A Quantum Murder.

Product reviews for listing 8257: The Dollmaker
Written by Nina Allan

Product image for The DollmakerStitch by perfect stitch, Andrew Garvie makes exquisite dolls in the finest antique style. Like him, they are diminutive but graceful, unique, and with surprising depths. Perhaps that's why he answers the enigmatic personal ad in his collector's magazine.

Letter by letter, Bramber Winters reveals more of her strange, sheltered life in an institution on Bodmin Moor, and the terrible events that put her there as a child. ... more...
