This 7 CD set tells the first sensational tale of Harry Potter, the finest and most famous of wizards. This wonderful story is narrated by Stephen Fry.
There was a shower of shooting stars when Harry Potter was born - weathermen all over our world of Muggles were amazed. But in the other world, the Ministry of Magic wasn t surprised at all, for Harry Potter was to be one of its finest and most famous wizards. Brought by flying motorcycle to live with his horrible Uncle Vernon and Aunt Petunia and their truly terrible son Dudley, Harry lives unhappily until his eleventh birthday.
He is rescued by the magic, if somewhat disorganised messenger, Hagrid, and taken to Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry to learn to practice his skills.

The HatchlingProduct reviews...
Most assuredly one of my favourite HP stories, this 7-cd set is skillfully narrated by the vocally-adept Stephen Fry, and again his voice gives life to the various characters... his characters sounded so 'real' I found myself 'watching the movie in my head' as I wandered around town with the cd-man hooked to my belt.
I loved the way he brought the Dursleys to life, especially the nasty Uncle Vernon and obnoxious Dudley. Having enjoyed the movie, I was made quite aware of the differences between the original story and the screenplay, with certain scenes being far longer and more detailed, and even some characters being dropped right out for the movie.
Overall, for the devoted fan, or those with sight problems, this is the version of the story you would be best served by, methinks.

The alien hydrogues have been defeated, driven back into the cores of their gas-giant planets by an alliance of the Earth Defence Forces, the ancient Ildiran Empire, the gypsy-like Roamer clans and fantasic water elemental beings as well as gigantic living 'treeships'. But as the various factions try to pick up the pieces and recover, the deep-seated wounds may be fatal. The Hansa's brutal Chairman Basil Wenceslas struggles to crush any ... more...
