My first introduction to this game was a few years ago, via a friend who had pulled this out for a game when we were visiting their house, it took me a couple of years to add it to our families collection, but I got there in the end, and it is a fun and easily adaptable game to play. The rules are really easy to pick up and follow, nothing too complicated, you just need to be able to count from 1 to 12 and make sure that you're constantly checking out your stockpile before playing any cards (one of my children often gets caught out with this little thing, which can cost you the fa everybody).

When playing with four or less people, your stockpile is 30 cards deep, when playing with five or six players then you only get 20 cards in your stockpile. What is good about the stockpile being variable, however, is that you're only affecting the game length by adding or subtracting cards from this pile. My youngest isn't always up for a 30 card stockpile, needing something a bit shorter to keep her engaged and enjoying herself, so I can easily give us a stockpile of 20 cards each, or for a nice and quick game, just 10 cards. It's great to find a card game that can easily be adapted to suit ages/patience and is a card game I'm happy to reccomend.
