It was with great gusto that I accepted this DVD for review. I have seen John Farnham in concert once before (when he toured New Zealand with Billy Joel), so I had a bit of an idea of the energy of his performance. The start of the show was a little bit of a let-down for me, as the songs started while the title credits were rolling and the introductions and the set up of the stage were being shown. It was more than a little distracting, considering one of the songs was one of my all time favourites 'Pressure Down.'
I soon found myself bopping along to all of the classics, the volume creeping up with each subsequent song. My memories were bought to the surface the more I watched John interact with the crowd and his band. Hearing from the gallery regular shouts of 'Sadie, Sadie, Sadie' followed by the off the cuff response of 'Nick off' with a quiet chuckle to himself and a sly grin had me laughing my head off for a lot of the time.
I had a great time watching this concert and look forward to adding it to my collection along with any others I can find from such a consummate performer as John Farnham.
