My eldest daughter enjoyed Chuggington when she was a toddler. She was right into trains and had a few train toys. I figured that I would see if this DVD would be of any interest to her and her sister. When I put it on yesterday, I found that neither of them were really interested. Although the eldest did come downstairs to check it out and watched for a bit.
Once she disappeared upstairs I noticed that her sister was not as interested in the show. She went about the lounge playing and reading and trying to escape upstairs. I figured that she was experiencing cabin fever about the same time as she said "car", and handed me my shoes.
Today, I thought I would try the DVD again just to see if she would settle to watch. This time, she did sit nicely and watched it. We also explored the extra special feature episode that was more of the same around Brewster and the team learning about building, welding, and other training skills.
Despite her sitting and watching it, I wouldn't say that she was super excited by Chuggington. Maybe if she had been watching with friends she might have felt different. But I didn't get the feeling that trains excited her as much as her older sister. She prefers animal shows like Paw Patrol.
